Detroit Indian Women's Association is a Nonprofit 501(c) (3). Here at Detroit Indian Women's Association, driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all women.
DIWA is a non-profit 501(c) (3) support group that brings together women of all age groups from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicities and across industries. We want to inspire and empower other women striving for success in their personal or professional life, alongside attaining a work-life balance.
While our goal is to strengthen and empower the network of all women, we want to extend our support to men as well, who want to explore the diverse industries through strategic partnerships and collaboration. Our organization's core mission aspires to promote Four Pillars of SELF.

The purpose of this organization is to provide a platform that supports and empowers all inquisitive and aspirational women in developing, strengthening and enhancing their talent and passion. Our organization wants to promote self development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and networking. We are empowered women who believe in empowering of other women and bring out the best in them. We will accomplish this through our passion committees. We believe that together we can do so much more.

Invest in your learning
Education is globally acknowledged as the most powerful weapon to empower women and girls. Training and learning helps better understand career and personal choices, individual rights and helps voice opinions. Women are likely to be more involved in the workforce and be more aware of political, economic and cultural affairs. Getting access to education by no means is an easy task, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.
